With international borders now reopen for fully vaccinated travellers, many Malaysians are dreaming up their next overseas holiday or making plans to reunite with friends and family. Getting to Phuket
Following the announcement of the opening of the Phuket Sandbox to fully vaccinated visitors from any country, AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) will resume flights between Kuala Lumpur and Phuket on November 5, 2021, with four weekly services departing from Malaysia’s capital.
Guests can purchase tickets to Phuket from RM189 (one way) for travel between 5 November 2021 and 30 March 2022 through the AirAsia Super App’s ‘Flights’ icon from now until 31 October 2021.
Guests may book fantastic value flights and hotels through the Super App’s ‘SNAP’ symbol for travel within the same period starting at only RM549 for travel within the same period. Those who prefer to book their hotels independently should go for the ‘Hotels’ icon in the app and book SHA Plus hotels in Phuket, where they may save an extra 10% with the discount code AAHOTEL10.
Fully vaccinated Malaysians who intend to travel under the Phuket Sandbox Program must meet the Thai government’s standards and obtain a Certificate of Entry by completing an application on Thailand’s Certificate of Entry Registration System before booking their tickets.
