Anyone who needs to travel for Hari Raya will be able to tell you that the balik kampung rush is a mad one. And if you’re not early enough, flight tickets can quickly demand exorbitant prices!

But buckle up, fellow travel enthusiasts! AirAsia has some exciting news. As Hari Raya approaches, AirAsia has announced their Hari Raya fixed fares for flights between Peninsula and East Malaysia, promising an affordable and hassle-free travel experience for Malaysians looking to reunite with their loved ones during the festive season.

From now until 30 April 2023, for flights between 19 to 21 April 2023 and 28 to 30 April 2023, Malaysians can return to their hometowns to be with their relatives without being gouged by increasing demand.

The ticket prices are fixed from RM199 and RM249 one way from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak and Sabah respectively. And they’re also increasing flight frequencies during the festive season!

If you’re hoping to visit family and friends in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, or Miri in Sarawak, or Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, or Tawau in Sabah, you should probably book one of these cheap tickets before they’re all gone. Travellers can take advantage of these low fares by booking their flights in advance, allowing them to plan their travels and avoid last-minute price hikes. To sweeten the deal, these discounted fares are also available for nonstop flights between Johor Bahru and Miri, Sibu, Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu.

In addition, BigPay members can get 5% off their next AirAsia flight using the discount code BIGPAY5 with flight code ‘AK’, valid for a whole year, as part of the expanded relationship between BigPay and AirAsia. Head here for details on this limited-time offer.

To prevent delays, guests flying domestically on Hari Raya Aidilfitri should be at the airport at least two hours before their flight. For a more seamless and hassle-free travel experience, guests are also strongly urged to self-check in using the AirAsia Super App, which is available as early as 14 days before the departure date.

The dates of Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year fall on April 22 and 23 in Malaysia.
