Food delivery apps are all about satisfying cravings… and fulfilling that desire with the least amount of effort. If you’re in KL or the Klang Valley, it’s now even easier to order your favourite char koay teow or nasi kandar from Penang thanks to the launch of AirAsia Food‘s brand new intercity food delivery service! So you can enjoy your all-time favourite delicacies from across the country, air-flown and delivered to your door.

Users in the Klang Valley will soon be able to alleviate their hunger pangs with a simple tap of the ‘Food’ icon on the AirAsia Super App, which will begin delivering food interstate from 15 August.

Deliveries to the Klang Valley from Penang will be made on specific days each week, with a delivery fee of RM5.99 for each order. All meals will be produced fresh and air-flown in stringent hygienic circumstances. Orders must be received by 5pm the day before the specified delivery day. Users can pre-order their favourite dishes up to 30 days ahead of time.

Even though there are only a few of Penang’s most beloved dishes available at this time, AirAsia assures us that they will expand their menu soon. Right now, these are your options:

Halal

Non-Halal

In the future, the company plans to expand its delivery area outside the Klang Valley by including foods from other states in its offerings.

Meals are currently flown in from Penang every Wednesday. AirAsia Food first introduced intercity meal delivery in Thailand, allowing clients to order food from Phuket to Bangkok.
