Malaysia’s top island resorts such as Langkawi, Pangkor, Redang, Tioman, and Perhentian are all on the verge of achieving herd immunity and should be ready for reopening as early as September 2021.

The government is considering relaxing travel restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated and introducing the use of vaccine passports once herd immunity is achieved.
