It’s that time of year again — time to get Raya ready! As we were looking to go all matchy-matchy for ourselves with our minis, we fell down a little rabbit hole and unearthed a whole long list of brands that make Hari Raya clothes for mummies, their minis, and the boys too! So we thought we’d share the love and list them all here, so you don’t need to spend hours trawling through the interwebs yourself.
If there are other brands we’ve left out, let us know in the comments! But for now, here’s a list of 24 Malaysian ready-to-wear brands that make matchy-matchy baju Raya for the entire family. Now it’ll be so easy for the whole family to sedondon.
1. Umbikids
Fun prints for the whole family! If you’re into wild colours and bold patterns, this is the brand to go full-on boriah with. But say you’re not too keen on full-on print, simply mix and match your separates to tone it down. You’ll still be matchy-matchy but not too in-your-face.
2. Pokoks Kidswear
This is definitely a go-to brand for festive sedondon wear for the entire family. Expect prints and a palate that’s more muted and neutral from Pokoks. They’ve also got simple geometric patterns if that’s the look you’re going for.
3. Zoffya
We love the soft watercolour tones of some of their prints this year. This is another brand that offers options for the entire family.
4. Keeds
No print, no problem! Keeds offers simple, traditional Raya apparel in the same colour schemes for everyone, minus the loud prints. We reckon the lack of bold print will help convince dad to sedondon with everyone.
5. JeMels
This one is for the mommas and her mini-mes. We adore the batik-inspired pastel prints on the baju kurungs. And the lace trim? Chef’s kiss!
6. Little Nuuna
It’s baju Kedah and baju kurung galore in a plethora of pretty prints with Little Nuuna. Our fave? The Stella 5.0 in baby blue!
7. Fab Outlet
Fab Outlet prides itself on offering myriad styles of baju kurungs that are sure to flatter every body shape and size. So you can match your mini while also looking your best!
8. Qiszar
Using lush fabrics and boasting intricate drapes and details, Qiszar is priced slightly more than most of the other entries on this list — but they’re worth every pretty penny!
9. Beauty by Eydaa
This eponymous brand also lands higher on the pricing spectrum at just under RM800 for a women’s baju kurung and up to RM350 for a kids kurung, but we’ll gladly fork the money out. Their pieces look really good! With balloon sleeves, fine fabrics, lace details, and modern takes on the traditional baju kurung, this is the brand for you if you and your mini are fashionistas.
10. Petit Moi
Cottagecore, anyone? Dainty blooms abound with Petit Moi’s Raya collection for mummy and mini. We also appreciate how the kid’s kurungs come with shorter sleeves, meaning less sauce-soaked sleeves and a less clammy kid.
11. Poplook
The collection’s name — Manis — sure speaks for itself. The apparel for Raya is sweet, showing off subtle detailing like scalloped hems and embroidered blooms.
12. Dleqa
This year’s collection may come in some stylish silhouettes, but most importantly — they’re comfy! You can even go light with their pinks and blues or take things darker with florals on black.
13. Saffyna
Here’s a wallet-friendly option for you, mommas! Saffyna offers bundle deals on their kids kurungs so mum and all her minis can match without breaking the bank.
14. MiFabric
It’s flowers for days with this Raya collection! Ranging from the bold to the subtle, there’s sure to be a colour or print that’ll make you and your kiddo(s) happy.
15. Maroon Red
It’s comfort over everything when you slip into one of their pieces! Featuring loose and flowing baju kurungs in unique, kitschy prints, you and your little one will be able to enjoy all the Raya food in these.
16. Gio Fabrics
Pretty clever of this textile behemoth to release a ready-to-wear line for the entire family to play dress up. Heading to their website will even allow you to shop by colour, taking out the guesswork.
17. RQal
Here’s one just for the boys! It can be challenging to find ready-to-wear apparel for a father and his junior, but Real makes it easy with this collection that features matching baju Melayus and sampins.
18. Adiwarna
Go down the traditional route with batik print fabrics, checkered prints, and subtle ways to match each other with Adiwarna’s Raya collection. We love how the girls match the boys for some pieces via the kurta and the skirt.
19. Nadstylis
Jewel tones are the order of the day if you want to match your mini in one of Nadstylis’ pieces. Solid hues accompanied by slivers of lace rule the roost, but of course, you can still take your pick of some more muted tones in grey, sage, and beige.
20. Kalima
If you and your mini-me feel that caftans are the way to go during the festive season, you’ll love the luxe fabrics used to create this mummy-and-me collection. The big win is that you can eat to your heart’s content without worrying about your baju feeling snug.
21. Manta
If you’re looking for a modern kurung that’s not overdone, Manta may have just the thing for you and your family. Choose between hints of pleats, button details, and little ribbons in a neutral colour palette that the entire family can pull off.
22. Kenit
Earth tones and deep ocean hues are aplenty in Kenit’s Raya collection. This is a range whose simplicity speaks volumes. If you and your family prefer to be understated and stylish, then this chic series is for you.
23. Camellia Empire
Okay, so this has to be one of our favourites! Fun colours, cute prints, and the ability to match the whole family by colour, but not necessarily by print, make Camellia Empire’s offerings among the most versatile.
24. Hollakidz
If you’d say that your family is pretty fashion-forward — including the men and boys — then up the ante with Hollakidz’s vivid prints and fun, bright hues. Naturally, there are ‘safer’ options for the whole family to take their pick from if a flower-print sampin isn’t on the cards.
