Locals within the area will rave about Ainol Kerang Bakar 223 for their reasonably-priced oysters where RM8 will get you a pretty decent-sized one. The special condiments offered at this stall also makes eating them that much more enjoyable, and if you’re the adventurous type, give their grilled horseshoe crab a go.

2. Aroi Street Food, Selangor

This hidden gem in Ampang serves up some fresh oysters that will have you ordering seconds and maybe even thirds. At RM15, you can cop yourself medium-sized pieces, which in comparison to some places in town, is a steal! They’re also famous for their seafood platter that can be enjoyed as a group. Served raw, you can accompany your bites with three different condiments and vegetables too!

If you’re wondering what incredibly fresh oysters tastes like, then head over to Bakau Hijau Farm, an oyster cultivation farm. At this family-run farm, over 10,000 oysters are being cultivated. Don’t just come here to simply feast, but also to feed the mind with knowledge on the culturing process of this delicacy. A small piece will only set you back RM5, while a large one will cost you RM10 each,. You can enjoy these succulent molluscs with special condiments.

4. Jom Santai Corner, Johor

Clueless on where to go for fresh and affordable oysters while in Johor? Check out the humble Jom Santai Corner. Fresh as they come, your crustacean cravings will be satiated here. Much like Bakau Hijau Farm, this agrotourism spot in Balik Pulau teaches its guests on the processes of growing oysters. 6. Dino’s Thai Food Restaurant, Kuala Lumpur

Looking for oysters in the heart of Kuala Lumpur? Check out Dino’s Thai Food. While they don’t exactly specialise solely on oysters, they do have some tasty ones on the menu. And the molluscs are mad fresh too! Slightly steeper in price compared to the rest on this list, and we assume mainly due to its location, they’re still worth ordering!
