Genting Highlands never fails to wow, whether it’s with its world-class attractions, mouth-watering cuisine, or just the pleasant cool climate.

As part of the resort’s annual Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration from 22 January to 15 February 2022, Resorts World Genting (RWG) will provide an array of interesting services and activities. Promising a memorable experience for everyone here are some activities and entertainments visitors can look forward to if you choose to celebrate CNY in the sky!

Instagrammable decorations

Awana SkyCentral, SkyAvenue, First World Plaza Level 2, Skytropolis, Gohtong Jaya Baru, Central Park, Asteroid Arcade, and Arena of Stars will be decorated with red lanterns and sparkling string lights to welcome guests. You can also expect a 7-metre-high golden tree in Central Park and a 3.5-metre golden tiger centrepiece in the KimHua Atrium to be spectacular photo opportunities.

Roaring good food

Food is an essential part of any celebration. From now through 15 February, RWG’s Golden Pineapple Tarts and Prosperity Tossed Yee Sang are available. The Golden Pineapple Tarts can be found at the  Coffee Terrace, Genting Grand; First World Hotel Lobby; and Hainan Express Counter at Malaysian Food Street, SkyAvenue.

Genting Palace, Highlands Hotel, and Seasons, Genting Grand all serve Yee Sang, a local specialty. To make a special get-together with family or friends even more special, both restaurants offer a variety of appealing meal options, whether as a set menu or à la carte.

Get your hands on the High Line Rooftop Market’s Caviar and Oyster House Prosperity Combo. While enjoying a drink at one of the many SkyAvenue restaurants such as High Line Roof Top Market, Harry Ramsden, Burger & Lobster, Il Lago, or Park Avenue Lounge after the reunion dinner, be sure to try RWG’s house-made celebratory beverages, like Happy Tiger cocktail and the Roar mocktail.

If you’re looking for something a little lighter, the Park Avenue Lounge is ready to welcome you. Enjoy your favourite dim sum dishes with friends and family over a cup of yum cha (tea). Wolfgang’s High Tea is another option, where you may sample their Prawn Dumplings and a sandwich with Wolfgang’s famous Katsu Beef. This is also the best location to be if you want to count down to the new year! Enjoy delicious dim sum, steamed salmon, five-spice chicken, and more as part of a special CNY’s Eve package available only on 31 January.
