As much as we love family trips and romantic getaways, sometimes all we want is to experience mindfulness and transformation with like-minded companies, or alone even. We’ve all heard of women’s only wellness retreats popping up worldwide, all tailor-made with women in mind, but Malaysia is also seeing a rise in these female-centric retreats and activities.

Whether you plan to go solo or share the experience with girlfriends, these rejuvenating retreats offer safe and empowering spaces to tap into your spiritual energy, immerse your senses, detox, and reconnect with your true self. We’ve compiled our list of five women’s only retreats in Malaysia, ranging from empowering getaways to spa and fitness experiences. Step aside, gentlemen – this one’s all for the girls!

Women Only Retreat: Suppa Retreat

Imagine being whisked away to a holistic haven and leaving your worries behind. Hence, all you need to focus on is yourself. That is what you can expect at Suppa Retreat, which aims to foster a community of empowered women.
There’s a little bit of everything here for the modern woman. Facilitated by lifestyle coaches, their workshops touch on personal development, health, spiritual healing, leadership, and even financial planning. The goal? To find oneself, build confidence and inner peace, as well as connect with other women.

You don’t need to run off to Bali, Thailand, or India to experience that spiritual healing you’re looking for when there’s one so close to home. Their women-only retreat programs have since been held in different out-of-the-city locations in Malaysia, such as Tanjong Jara Resort, Pangkor Laut Resort, and Tiarasa Escapes.

Women Only Camping: Pajelintrip

No one ever said that camping is a male-only affair! Pajelintrip positions itself as the first women camp in Malaysia. There is no motivational talk or soul-searching ticking timer, just a bunch of females enjoying the great outdoors and having fun in a safe space. Their camping excursions usually take place in or around Selangor. Some of the activities you can expect would be taking a splash in the river, roasting smores, stargazing, relaxing, and campfire talks.

Pajelintrip also provides all the camping gear and food; you only need to bring yourself and your personal belongings. Wondering if you should go on your own? Fret not! 90% of their participants are solo campers, with the added benefit of getting to go home with a new girl squad.

The cream bath hair treatment is another popular choice, complete with a scalp massage to put a luscious glow into your locks. Khareyana Spa generally welcomes women into their sanctuary.
