The school holidays are a great time to spend more days outside with the kids, but days out can get a little ‘spenny’, particularly when it comes to food. And if you’re a parent, you’ll be familiar with just how hungry kids can get, even if they don’t finish their meals.
So we’ve listed a few places where your kids can have a free meal, so you’re spared the additional expense.
1. TGI Friday’s, Klang Valley
The well-known and loved American food chain is a great place to have a meal with the little ones. Get one free kids meal with the purchase of any adult main course when you dine in. Let your kids decide from loaded cheesy fries to alfredo pasta and chicken quesadillas.

2. Sakae Sushi, Selangor
Treat your sushi-loving kids to a meal at Sakae Sushi. Order any main dish, and your child gets a meal too, on the house! The offer only applies to dine-in customers and is limited to one meal per transaction for children 12 years and below.
Due to changing terms and conditions, and differing promotional seasons, it is best to call and enquire if the offer is available at the outlet you plan on visiting. There are three outlets within Selangor, so choose one closest to you.

3. Chilli’s, Klang Valley
Another American food chain known for a good selection of free kids’ meals is Chilli’s. They have outlets all over the Klang Valley where kids 12 and below can enjoy a free meal when accompanied by an adult purchase of a main course item from their a la carte menu or their quarterly promotional menu where applicable.
Have the kids indulge in Fish & Chips, Grilled Chicken Bites with Fries, and Macaroni & Cheese, amongst other delicious selections. Every meal comes with a bottomless beverage of your child’s choosing.

4. Italiannies, Selangor
It’s hard to go wrong with cheesy pizza and chicken nuggets when it comes to kids, right? If you and your children fancy Italian cuisine, the Italiannies kids menu includes select dishes in their ‘Bambinos Eat Free’ deal.
Much like the other places listed above, each complimentary Bambino meal must be accompanied by one purchase of a main course from the a la carte menu. The offer only applies to children 12 and under and is exclusive to dine-in customers only.

5. Grandmama’s, Kuala Lumpur
Grandmama’s is a contemporary Malaysian restaurant serving traditional Malaysian flavours reminiscent of our elders’ cooking. With their kids eat free deal, you can choose between fun-sized Char Kuey Teow, Mee, or Chicken Rice and Fried Drumstick dishes that come free with the purchase of an adult main course. 6. Morganfield’s, Klang Valley
Fish Fingers, Ham & Cheese Sandwiches, Mushroom Carbonara — if these sound like dishes your little ones would be happy to tuck into, make your way to Morganfield’s. The deal is available for kids aged 12 and under or children under 120cm in height. A kids meal can be redeemed with a purchase of an adult main course with a limit of two redeemable children’s meals per table.

7. The Barn Wine Bar, Klang Valley
A meal at The Barn is a treat for both parents and kids. Set in a cosy and inviting atmosphere, it is the perfect choice for a night out with every family member. While you enjoy a grilled steak with a pint of Guinness or a glass of wine, your kids under the age of 12 get to enjoy a complimentary meal.

8. Genji, Hilton Petaling Jaya
Spend your weekend nights with the Hilton at Genji’s Saturday Dinner Buffet, a Japanese buffet serving the freshest selection of sashimi, sushi and more. Kids under the age of five eat for free when you buy two adult buffet packages. Reservations are required, and the offer is only applicable if you dine in. They also have a Sunday Brunch Buffet where kids eat for free under similar terms and conditions.

9. Dotty’s, Klang Valley
Famed for their salted egg cronuts, indulgent brunches, one-of-a-kind fusion dishes, and insanely good desserts, you’ll be chuffed to know that Dotty’s regularly hosts kids eat free specials at ALL four of their outlets in KLCC, TTDI, IOI Putrajaya, and Setia City Mall. Sometimes held as a week-long or month-long special, be sure to follow their socials to know when you can avail of this sweet deal.
Of course, the usual rules apply. The promo is only applicable to patrons under 12 years old who dine in, and your little ones will get a free kids’ meal with every main course purchased. We love the idea of a one-for-one!

10. Brasserie Léon, Taman Tun Dr Ismail
Got bougie kids who enjoy French fare? Or perhaps it’s you who’s bougie, and you just want to tuck into a posh meal without having to worry about what the kids will eat. Well, you’re going to love weekend lunches at Brasserie Léon!
Applicable for children 12 years old and below, young diners can choose from one of three yummy dishes off their kids’ menu. Each dish comes with a glass of iced lemon tea or ice lemonade and a scoop of vanilla ice cream to end the meal.
Do note that kids only get to eat free when they dine in during weekend lunch — not during dinner or other days — and that each kids’ meal is on the house with a minimum order of one main course. But honestly, even on other days, their kids’ menu is still super affordable at RM16.90 for the Mac ’n’ Cheese, RM15.90 for the Poisson Pané (fish fingers), and RM17.90 for the Steak Haché (beef patty). Yum!
