The glamping trend has hit the shores of Bali. Glamping, a mash-up for “glamourous camping” offers the rustic charms of camping, with the comforts and amenities you get from a hotel. It’s a new kind of travel where you get to explore the great outdoors without sacrificing luxury.
Come August 2016, you can try glamping in North Bali when Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Beach Camp and Dive Centre open its doors.
Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Beach Camp and Dive Centre resort is located on an isolated peninsula on over 16 hectares. It is surrounded on three sides by ocean and a calm lagoon with a white sandy beach. Every tent is blessed with uninterrupted views of the ocean, Menjangan Island, the National Park and an impressive backdrop of a massif of three mountains in east Java, namely Mount Raung, Ijen and Baluran.
The resort features 24 beach camp tents, 2 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom cliff tent villas which are African Safari tents imported from South Africa. All tents are completed with flat screen TVs & DVD players, minibar, safe deposit box, IDD telephones, hairdryer and full bathroom amenities including in-tent bathroom/shower rooms.
Other facilities are provided to ensure your comfort, such as a seamless buggy service to navigate around the resort, a dive centre, spa, exercise room, bamboo lobby and bamboo Wantilan offering a space for weddings, events or retreats with unsurpassable views.
There is also a large 158sqm infinity swimming pool on a small cliff with a waterfall that cascades into a lower pool. The pool overlooks the Pasir Putih Beach Club & Bar where you can enjoy refreshing cocktails whilst watching the sunset on the horizon. The cliff tent villas, moreover, enjoy the luxury of having their own private infinity pools.
There are lots to do outside the resort as well. You can go diving or snorkelling at Menjangan Island (a 15-minute boat trip from the resort), the Atlas Pearl farms, the quiet village of Pemuteran, trekking, cycling, horse riding, hot springs and secret waterfalls.
The northwest coast of Bali has become increasingly popular amongst visitors looking for an authentic escape offering an unspoilt environment to relax and take in both the culture and nature. With this new glamping spot, you will have a unique experience to remember.
