With Subang Jaya’s diverse population, there’s no shortage of eateries and different kinds of cuisines offered. However, this also comes with a common first-world problem—deciding what to eat!

We’ve divided this list into different types of cuisines to make it easier (maybe) for you to answer the big question of the day: “What to eat today, ah?”

Sae Ma Eul BBQ, SS15

Korean Barbeque is perfect for that special office lunch occasion or when you’re dining with a group of friends. Their all-you-can-eat menu and affordable prices make it easier for conversations over a grill as you eat to your heart’s content.

Asumo, SS15

This Japanese-owned-and-run restaurant is perfect for your first foray into Yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat). Their Yakiniku set lunches come highly recommended, and you get to choose between different grades of beef. Prices are affordable, considering the meat choices, and you’ll get to experience cooking your own beef slices over the flame.

According to our local source, the sides that come with the lunch set are nice (not an afterthought), and if you have the stomach for dessert after, their Matcha Tiramisu will be the perfect end to your meal. Asumo is also great for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, as they have private rooms of various sizes.

Hot Bird, SS15

This is what our local foodie said: “It’s the best fried chicken I’ve ever had.” The adjectives she used were: well-flavoured, juicy, freshly fried, good portions. The thick-cut fries are a plus point. ‘Nuff said. You’ve got to try these Nashville Style Hot Chickens for yourself.

Fowl Boys, SS15

Another fried chicken contender is Fowl Boys, which also serves juicy, crispy chicken, burgers, and milkshakes. You can pick different spice levels for your chicken, especially if your tongue’s not keen on spice. Our local foodie recommends the Sugar Daddy burger for a sweet and savoury experience, paired with tangy slaw, gherkins, and a garlic mayo potato bun.
