Through direct flights to the hidden gem locations of India, travellers can uncover the bustling cityscape of Amritsar, Ahmedabad’s historical wonders, and the beauty that Trivandrum holds.

Club Med unveils Snow Report for Malaysia

The Club Med Snow Report gives insights into snow holiday trends for Malaysians. It includes feedback from 511 residents aged 25 to 64, revealing that 1 in 3 have experienced snow holidays, with popular destinations being Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and China.

Planning choices are driven by activities offered (66%), budget-friendly options (59%), and balancing relaxation with activity (57%), with most preferring resorts (72%). About 62% are interested in winter sports for the novelty and excitement; many see it as a trendy and adventurous experience.

Golden Screen Cinemas launches boutique cinema, Velvet

In the heart of Mont Kiara in Retail Park 163 is Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) newest boutique cinema, Velvet. With only three halls and 163 seats, the latest from GSC, in partnership with Alliance Bank, draws inspiration from retro cinemas and is complete with vibrant F&B offerings.

Upon opening, Velvet will host an opening promotion with tickets priced at RM140 per pair (RM70 per pax) on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and RM180 per pair (RM90 per pax) at weekends – though terms and conditions may apply for public holidays (Friday to Sunday).

Standard ticket prices are at RM200 per pair (RM100 per pax). The majority of the tickets sold are in pairs due to the plush twin seats available for cosying up to. However, there are single seats available, though limited.

UNIQLO transforms its Fahrenheit88 outlet into a three-story shopping space

UNIQLO celebrated the reopening of its Fahrenheit88 store in Kuala Lumpur after a five-month renovation. The redesigned three-story store spans 33,937 square feet, aiming to provide a convenient shopping experience for locals and tourists. It emphasises the “Made for All” concept, offering a diverse lineup of LifeWear clothing for men, women, and children, including seasonal collections and comfortable, stylish apparel.

To commemorate the reopening, UNIQLO collaborated with local artist Red Hong Yi to create UTme! stickers celebrating diversity and individuality. These stickers feature a flower motif symbolising UNIQLO’s core philosophy. Since its debut in Malaysia in 2010, UNIQLO has expanded to 57 stores nationwide, gaining popularity for its LifeWear products among Malaysian customers.

Kuala Lumpur Art Book Fair (KLABF) returns this December!

The Kuala Lumpur Art Book Fair (KLABF) is set to return for its third edition from December 8 to 10, 2023, at the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH). Spanning over 7,000 square feet, this three-day event will feature 112 exhibitors from over 13 countries, transforming KLSCAH into a haven for art enthusiasts.

Founded in 2021 by LIE Design, KLABF celebrates contemporary art, design, and printed materials, offering a global platform for creative practitioners and self-publishing communities to unite and explore artistic endeavours.
KLABF 2023, the biggest edition yet, will host 52 international exhibitors from various countries, introducing an enticing lineup of visual delights. Notable additions include Ajim Juxta, a Malaysian artist exploring architecture and mythology; Radio Woon, known for quirky character creations inspired by Malaysia’s multicultural context; Grafis Nusantara, an Indonesian collective preserving vintage label stickers; In Plain Words from Singapore, focusing on everyday life through food and design; Sojanggak from South Korea, crafting books reflecting Southeast Asian visual culture, and 10-year-old Malaysian artist Enya Lim.

The fair will also offer book launches, talks, workshops, exhibitions, and an art installation curated in collaboration with Cahaya Create and G.F. Smith, featuring multicoloured paper clouds to enhance the fair’s experience.

Packaging is not left out of the brand’s eco-conscious equation, as Omno’s bottles are made of 70% Post Consumer Resin (PCR) and 30% recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (rPET).
