A family favourite among the community, Taman Tun Dr Ismail’s (TTDI) Ramadan Bazaar is well-known and loved. With stalls offering a variety of food to choose from, locals rally here for traditional festive foods as well as some newer fusion dishes. Try the classic ikan bakar and nasi biryani, or savour the pulled lamb tacos, mac and cheese, and popiahs. Grab a cup of fresh sugarcane juice to ward off the heat. Pair it with some fried cempedak for a sweet treat.

Yet another local neighbourhood Ramadan bazaar of choice is the Bangsar Ramadan Bazaar. A short 15-minute walk from the Bangsar LRT Station will get you to this small but homely bazaar that sells all the classic favourites. Malay rice dishes, traditional kuihs, agar-agar, and grilled foods are on the menu. Order to go as you make your way down the different stalls.

Sticking to the theme of well-loved neighbourhood bazaars, Bukit Bintang’s Ramadan Bazaar is another popular choice for locals. Have your pick of local and traditional Malay dishes, and staple night market and street food essentials. Ayam Percik, Ayam Masak Merah, Nasi Lemak, Roti John, Sate Udang, and sweet drinks in every colour are set to make your Ramadan feast a delicious and vibrant one.

The famous Jalan TAR Bazaar, also known as the Masjid India Ramadan Bazaar, gets livelier during the Ramadan season when the street is filled with all sorts of local delicacies. From Indian and Mamak-style foods to Malay dishes, biscuits, and kuihs, there are plenty of options to keep you coming back for more.

The annual Kompleks PKNS Ramadan Bazaar sees food stalls set up just outside the shopping mall, offering a large selection of food, drinks, and sweet treats. Nasi Ambeng, Nasi Dalca, Rojak, Asam Pedas, grilled meats, popiah and more are on the menu. Grab an icy cold cendol as you make your way through the bazaar and pick up a durian, fried doughnut or a burger Ramly on your way home. Inside the mall, there are more stalls set up selling clothing and accessories, as well as live performances to celebrate the season.
