1. Iskandar Puteri
Much like Putrajaya, Iskandar Puteri is home to Johor’s administrative capital and Southeast Asia’s largest urban integrated development. Be in awe of the architecture that pays homage to Alhambra in Spain. Other things to do here include visiting Legoland Malaysia, EnergX Park, hiking at Sireh Park, and many more.
2. Putuo Village
Resembling scenes from a fairytale, Putuo Village is Kulai’s pride and joy. Spanning 43 acres of land within a scenic bamboo forest, this tourist destination has Purple Bamboo Valley, which features colourful installations. There are even giant pandas you can take photos of! End your visit at Fat Bamboo Cafe to experience their famous bamboo ice cream.

3. Skyscape Johor Bahru
The Skyscape Johor Bahru is not for the faint-hearted, but is definitely a thrilling experience for those who love a good adrenaline rush. It’s located at the top of Menara JLand and is JB’s first aerial entertainment space. Besides walking on the glass-floored Sky Bridge, you can also try fun VR experiences and walk through an LED tunnel, to name a few.

4. Johor Chinese Heritage Museum
The Chinese Heritage Museum in JB is a fantastic place to learn about the Chinese community and their contribution to the city’s development. We highly recommend this to everyone visiting JB, especially the history buffs! Featuring artefacts like instruments, documents, old coins, and more, you’ll find yourself enlightened.

5. Kota Tinggi Firefly Park

6. Kampung Sungai Melayu
While most Johorians will know of Kampung Sungai Melayu, the average Malaysian tourist may not, and it is a true hidden gem. This small fishing village is built around a mangrove swamp and boasts a diverse ecosystem. For those who can’t get enough nature, a trip to Kampung Sungai Melayu is worth making and will forever be etched in your heart.
7. Pulau Mawar
Known to the locals as ‘Heaven’s Gate’, Pulau Mawar is only a 20-minute drive away from the town of Mersing. Explore mangroves and rocky, pebbled beach for the day, and maybe even take a dip in the crystal clear waters, but please be cautious, especially during high tide.
8. Bear & Bad
If you’re one that’s into art installations and colourful 3D art, Bear & Bad may be just what you need. Immerse yourself in a breathtaking experience that is worth the pricy entrance fee (RM48), and while you’re at it, take some Insta-worthy photos too!
