The hamburger has evolved tremendously from its humble beginnings in Hamburg, Germany; that’s where it got its name, after all. From street vendors to gourmet servings, everyone loves a good meat-in-bun meal for its versatility, variety, and tastiness.

And, honestly, there is nothing better than a juicy slap of patty. Here are a few of our favourite burger places in the Klang Valley.

10. Vantadoor, Sri Hartamas

Standing alone as possibly the most outrageous burger you could splurge on is Vantador’s 24k Gold Foie Gras Wagyu Burger, which sells at a whopping RM193. When we talk about liquid gold in the context of burgers, we’re typically referring to a creamy egg yolk or molten cheese. But in this case, gold is literally in your burger.

An impressive tower of Wagyu beef patties coated in 24-karat gold leaf and pan-seared foie gras is sandwiched between their homemade brioche bun. Topped with a mustard seed pickle and hand-cut fries, this burger is quite an upgrade from the humble meat-in-bun we’re used to. So, if you think you’ve tried it all when it comes to burgers, think again.
