Kuala Lumpur’s food scene is ever-changing and evolving over time, refining both flavour and craft to satisfy gastronomes from all over the world who find themselves in this vibrant city. While food trends and fads come and go, fine dining still remains a timeless and elegant culinary experience that celebrates the art of ingredients, food, service and atmosphere.
An experience like that is not reserved for just the wealthy—anyone can indulge in a fine dining restaurant every now and then. So, here are a few that have made it on our bucket list.
1. Dewakan
Starting off, we’re headed right to the heart of Kuala Lumpur, where Dewakan is making waves as one of the most progressive restaurants in the country. The restaurant gets its name from the Malay words meaning ‘God’ and ‘food’, and their menu is nothing short of divine.
A worthy contender on Asia’s 50 Best list, they source the freshest ingredients locally, celebrating the best Malaysia has to offer. Their beautiful dinnerware is also handmade by local artisans. Perched up on the 48th floor of Naza Tower, guests are invited to take in the city skyline as they dine.
