6. Chocha Foodstore
If you’re a bonafide foodie, ChoCha Foodstore will likely be in your culinary vocabulary. Known for its simple but powerful ethos of bringing community together through the simple act of sitting down and eating, this eatery has many modern takes on Asian staples, and that includes sandwiches.
From tender beef tongue that’s slow-cooked for seven hours to the serunding toast, which will have you questioning recent life’s choices, your Petaling Street itinerary should include a visit to Chocha Foodstore.

7. Der Backmeister
Besides sausages and beer, the Germans have a deep affection for bread, and I share a similar love for their choice of carbs. And at Der Backmeister, it is carbs galore. Think of all the sandwiches or kinds of bread you could possibly want and they’re likely to have it.
Located in the suburb of Taman Tun Dr Ismail, many come here for its affordable pricing and freshly baked goods. Recommendations? Tuna Melt, Italian Caprese Sandwich, and the best of all (in my opinion), Rib Eye And Cheese Sandwich.
For those closer to the city centre, you’ll be happy to know there’s a branch located in Ampang.

8. Huckleberry
When it comes to good food, Huckleberry knows a thing or two about it. Perfect for all occasions at any time of the day, Huckleberry’s menu will hardly disappoint, but of course, this is a personal opinion. Offering hot eats to the best chocolate cake in town, Huckleberry’s menu is extensive, and their sandwich choices are not to be missed.
The Tuna Melt Sandwich is quite possibly the best in town – the bread has the right amount of crunch on the outer layer, and on the inside, it is soft, fluffy, and filled with buttery goodness. Their Grilled Cheese Toastie is not a bad option either and it’s served with a bowl of soup.
