The sun-kissed island of Bali has always been a hotspot for travellers seeking pristine beaches, lush jungles, and a vibrant cultural scene. But now, this Indonesian paradise has added another jewel to its crown with the unveiling of Waterbom Bali’s Oasis Gardens — an award-winning sustainable waterpark that promises not only thrilling aquatic adventures, but also a deep commitment to environmental conservation.

Situated in the heart of Kuta, Waterbom Bali has consistently earned its reputation as one of the best waterparks in Asia, and with the addition of Oasis Gardens, it has raised the bar even higher.

Oasis Gardens is a 1.3-hectare oasis of fun and relaxation, seamlessly integrated with Waterbom Bali’s existing attractions. A number of environmentally friendly efforts are incorporated into the new Oasis Gardens area, including solar panels, subterranean pumps and pipelines, and a rainwater collection system.

Like the first park, this one was purposefully planned around the trees already present to prevent their removal. Oasis Gardens’ biodiversity has been increased by collecting plants in East Java and bringing them over.

For adrenaline seekers, Oasis Gardens offers a thrilling range of water slides and rides. There are four slide attractions which can be reached by a 20-metre twisting slide tower that was built with a cantilevered viewing platform and views of the famous Kuta beach.

The Drop is a dark, suspenseful tube ride that begins at a towering 17 metres and culminates with a breathtaking 8-metre free fall (with two slide possibilities).

Then, the Tailspin propels riders into the next open bowl before they reach the finish line by sending them in a downward spiral slide into an open bowl that is angled for optimum speed.

Next up, the popular gravity-defying Boomerang slide has been revived at this new location, with its transparent rainbow tube blasting riders into a 9.2-metre vertical plunge before launching them straight upward into a massive wall ride, followed by a backward drop to finish.

Along with the slides, which are geared toward thrill-seekers, Oasis Gardens also includes family-friendly areas and a lot to offer those seeking a gentler pace. The resort’s expansive lagoon pool, tropical relaxation area with sun loungers and gazebos, outdoor spa and massage area, and sunken pool bar with swim-up access all provide a haven of peace.

All visitors can savour a variety of dishes from the Oasis Café under the 50-person outdoor dining pergola, whether they are there to rest or experience the slides. These cuisines include favourites from Western, Pan-Asian, and Indonesian cuisine.

Waterbom Bali presently has 26 slides and five dining options. In addition to Oasis Gardens’ recent launch last month, there are currently expansion plans underway for a new kids’ and family area scheduled to open in 2024.
