Australia’s rolling out the welcome mat with open arms, inviting travellers from all corners of the globe to experience its beauty and charm. And guess what? The return of MATTA Fair 2024 is the perfect opportunity to dive headfirst into everything the country has to offer!

From 22 to 24 March 2024, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur will host the annual travel expo, MATTA Fair. Visitors will walk through several experience zones, including exploring the Australia Pavilion in Hall 9, Level 3, offering a sneak peek into the wonders of Australia.

With the expansion of flight schedules and the collaboration between AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines, visiting Australia is now more accessible than before. Malaysia Airlines has been operating more flights from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney (from 14 to 16 weekly) and Melbourne (from 14 to 15 weekly) since December 2023.

AirAsia Malaysia began service to Perth on 11 March 2024, offering 14 weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur. This is an addition to AirAsia X’s regular service. AirAsia intends to provide direct flights from Kuching to Perth starting in June 2024.

Australia is keeping up its exciting engagement with Malaysian tourists. One such example is the latest Projek Bapak Bapak cooperation with ASTRO Warna, which highlights the many enjoyable experiences Victoria and New South Wales can provide for families with young children.

Picture yourself strolling along the sun-kissed beaches of the Gold Coast or simply soaking up that famed, laid-back Aussie vibe. Whether you’re an adventure seeker itching to explore the rugged Outback, a foodie eager to tantalise your taste buds with fresh seafood and world-class wines, or a nature lover yearning to discover the breathtaking wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, Australia has something for everyone.

But it’s not just about the sights and sounds; it’s about the people too. Aussies are renowned for their warmth and friendliness, always ready to share a laugh and a cold one over a barbecue. So, don’t be surprised if you find yourself chatting with locals and making lifelong friendships along the way.

And let’s not forget about the wildlife! From cuddly koalas and playful dolphins to majestic whales and colourful parrots, Australia is a haven for animal lovers. Get up close and personal with these incredible creatures at wildlife sanctuaries, or embark on thrilling safaris to spot them in their natural habitats.
