Get ready to tantalise your taste buds at 30,000 feet because Malaysia Airlines is taking in-flight dining to new heights with their latest culinary innovation – the ‘Best of Asia’ menu. Buckle up and prepare for a gastronomic journey through the flavours of the continent, right from the comfort of your airplane seat, and brace yourself for a mouthwatering selection that celebrates the diverse cuisines of Asia.

From the fiery heat of Thai cuisine to the fragrant delicacies from Indonesia, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Passengers travelling to and from different destinations around Asia can enjoy a varied selection of approximately 40 Asian delicacies from Malaysia Airlines’ in-flight food and beverage menu. Pad Krapow Gai, often known as Thai Basil Chicken, was introduced earlier this year and was served on flights from Kuala Lumpur to the Regional and China sectors from 1 January to 29 February 2024.

There’s more! Treat your tastebuds to the bold flavours of Indian cuisine where passengers can enjoy Murgh Makhani or Butter Chicken Masala with Pulao Rice on Domestic Crossing (Sabah and Sarawak), Regional, South Asian, Australian, New Zealand, and London flights till 30 April 2024.

This culinary journey continues to Indonesia, where travellers may have Nasi Padang paired with Terung Balado, Bergedil, and Chicken Kalio. From 1 May to 30 June 2024, this option will be served on flights to the Domestic Crossing (Sabah and Sarawak), Regional, Indonesia, Doha, and London sectors.

By adding more carefully selected meals catered to different industries, the airline will keep up its dedication to improving the in-flight eating experience. New additions include the much-loved Salted Egg Chicken, now available in Economy Class, a third meal option, vegetarian options in some areas, and enhanced destination meals. A new menu has also been unveiled for the Business Class Chef on Call and Economy Pre-order Meals, which are offered to all sectors that serve hot food, including the South Asian and Oriental industries.

The airline will soon be serving freshly made coffee in Business Class, along with a dish that has been particularly prepared for the holiday of Hari Raya. In addition, passengers using the Golden Lounge Satellite, Golden Lounge Regional, and Golden Lounge Domestic will have the chance to sample the menu items created especially for the Hari Raya celebration by Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

Bon appétit and safe travels!
