Travelers looking for an effortless getaway will be thrilled to hear that Firefly Airlines is expanding its routes! Starting 30 March, Firefly will offer direct flights from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) in Selangor to two exciting destinations: Singapore and Kuching.

Firefly’s new routes will operate using its comfortable Boeing 737-800 aircraft, perfect for short-haul flights. This addition enhances accessibility to Singapore‘s world-class attractions and Kuching‘s rich cultural heritage, making planning spontaneous weekend trips or convenient business travels easier than ever.

Firefly offers flexible ticketing options to suit different travel needs. Passengers with the lowest-tier ticket enjoy 7kg of carry-on luggage, 10kg of checked baggage, and in-flight refreshments. For those who need more flexibility, the Flex option provides 30kg of checked baggage and unlimited flight changes, making it ideal for business travellers or those who love a spontaneous change of plans.

Flights to Kuching will operate up to six times a week, increasing to seven from 30 March 2025. Departures from Subang Airport are scheduled for 6:45am, with return flights from Kuching at 9:20am. Flights to Singapore will leave SZB at 6:30pm, with return flights from SIN at 8:45pm. One-way direct flight fares start from RM219 to Kuching and RM189 to Singapore from Selangor. Currently, Firefly’s Singapore to Subang flights operate exclusively from Seletar Airport.
