To bring awareness to the creativity and heart of the local differently-abled community, Uniqlo Malaysia has partnered with talented young artists with autism to express themselves artistically through cute animal drawings.

These works of art that have been immortalised onto tees and tote bags make up the Early Autism Project x UTme! Collection. This series of adult and kids tees and totes will be available from today onwards, exclusively at the Uniqlo Fahrenheit 88 and Uniqlo DA Square stores.

In addition to purchasing the tees and totes, you will be free to unleash your creativity by playing around with the stickers to achieve your desired ’EAP’ designs with a technique called over-layering — a new design technology. To customise your tees and tote bags, you’ll be guided to use a special app on the tablets located at a UTme! corner.

This collaboration will also help fund the Hope Project, using the funds to develop more learning materials for the autism community.

In Malaysia, it’s said that approximately 1 in 625 children is autistic, and that the real numbers are likely much higher. Sadly, autism is also often misunderstood. Those on the autism spectrum see, hear, and feel the world differently from everyone else. But with the right help, they can lead full lives of their choosing, and the Early Autism Project Malaysia offers world-class services to support individuals with autism and their families.

So, go one and shop for a good cause!
