Thirsting for adventure? We’ve got something that’ll surely thrill you! Catch a rush of adrenaline with a new original television and digital series, the AXN Ultimate Challenge Indonesia, that will premiere on Thursday, 25 November at 8:30pm MYT (7:30 p.m. JKT) on the leading English-language general entertainment channel, AXN Asia. It will be streamed worldwide on its official YouTube channel starting Saturday, 27 November.
What a trip
The six-part multimedia series, hosted by Richard Kyle, features award-winning Indonesian celebrities Afgansyah Reza (aka Afgan) and Isyana Sarasvati. The latter is a Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and London’s Royal College of Music graduate who sang the Indonesian soundtrack ‘A Whole New World’ for the 2019 live action remake of Aladdin. Meanwhile, the former is a famous singer also loved in Malaysia.
The duo, along with their respective travel partners Reza Chandika (#TeamAfgan) and Rara Sekar (#TeamIsyana), will take global audiences on an epic journey, complete with epic adventures and heart-pounding challenges, as they experience and capture the social media-worthy sights and sounds of Indonesia’s stunning island destinations. We’re talking Labuan Bajo (known for the Komodo National Park, snorkelling points, and flying fox bats), Mandalika in Lombok (known for glistening beaches, thrilling racing circuits, water parks, and water sports activities), and Bali (without a doubt every traveller’s favourite getaway beach destination).
Fans may relive their favourite memories of Indonesia with Afgan and Isyana Sarasvati through land, sea, and sky, from exploring the famed Pink Beach in Labuan Bajo to flyboarding at Tanjung Benoa Beach, to paragliding in Nusa Dua, Bali.

In celebration of the show’s premiere, AXN Asia and local Instagram communities @CameraIndonesia (Indonesia), @InstaSG (Singapore), @IGersMalaysia (Malaysia), and @IGersManila (the Philippines) will join forces to launch the ultimate virtual ASEAN Insta-meet. This community-led social movement invites ASEAN Instagrammers to share their point of view on a beloved memory of their favourite destination in Indonesia through the art of photography.
Each country will have one winning post with the most heart-warming memory, and the winning Instagrammer will be named AXN Asia’s Ultimate Travel Insider of their country and receive DJI’s Pocket 2, the world’s smallest three-axis stabilised handheld camera, perfect for capturing precious memories on trips around the world. From November 25 to December 13, all Instagrammers in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines are invited to participate in the ASEAN Insta-meet social movement.
