Now everyone can roll (up with a driver). AirAsia Group Bhd on Tuesday (Aug 24) launched AirAsia Ride, an e-hailing service offering customers greater convenience, more competitive prices, and a better income opportunity for drivers, in addition to a safe experience with a fully-vaccinated driver fleet.

Evolving from shuttling people on planes to shuttling them in cars, the latest e-hailing service is AirAsia’s newest offering under its super app. Services are currently available in the Klang Valley, with expansion to more cities in Malaysia planned throughout the year. The AirAsia Ride e-hailing service can be booked by clicking on the ‘Ride’ icon on the AirAsia Super App, or via the website. And if you do decide to roll up with Ride, don’t forget to use the code AARIDE3 before 30 September, 2021 to enjoy RM3 off your first ride!

AirAsia CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said that 1,500 drivers have signed up for the service platform, with 5,000 more set to join in the next six months, as the platform expands across the country. Drivers take 85% of the net fares, higher than other ride-hailing providers in the market. AirAsia Ride is also proud to have a 100% fully-vaccinated fleet of drivers, so you can travel safely.

Fares on AirAsia Ride are set at an average of RM1 (approximately US$0.24) per kilometre, and passengers can book on-demand rides, or even pre-book their rides in advance. A special feature allows passengers to book an ‘Allstar Ride’ and be chauffeur driven by AirAsia pilots and cabin crew.

Meanwhile, AirAsia Food, the food delivery platform of the AirAsia Super App, debuted its services in two key cities: Johor Bahru and Melaka. This will allow more people to have their favourite meals delivered straight to their doorsteps at an unbelievable price. This is also good news for small local F&B operators who can benefit directly from AirAsia Food through its industry-lowest commission rate.

For further convenience and savings, AirAsia Food customers can take advantage of its Free Delivery offer, which applies to purchases of RM15 or more and deliveries within a 15-kilometre radius. Customers having BIG Points can save even more money by redeeming them for only 50 BIG Points for every RM1* they spend. Both the Free Delivery and BIG Points promos are valid until 31 December, 2021.

Customers in both Johor Bahru and Melaka will be able to enjoy an AirAsia Food signature FREE MEALS promotion from now until 6 September, 2021 to commemorate this double-debut.
