An exciting and exclusive new art experience is ready to open at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort! Upon the reopening of the hotel when conditions allow, the BENSLEY Outsider Gallery will showcase original works of art by Bill Bensley, an internationally-acclaimed architect and designer, which can be viewed and purchased by both in-house guests and visitors.
Bill Bensley — a jack of all trades, but somehow a master of all — is an internationally-renowned architect, interior designer, and landscape architect who has designed some of Asia’s most recognisable hotels and resorts. Think stunning properties such as the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, Malaysia’s The St. Regis Langkawi, and of course, the resort his gallery calls home.
He only began painting three years ago, and the gallery’s name, Outsider, reflects his feeling of being an outsider in the art world. The BENSLEY Outsider Gallery is a naturally-lit pavilion in a cobblestone courtyard located at the resort’s Sky Level. It will house 50 vibrant and bold works of art, including prints and paintings. Visitors who wish to learn about his Fauvist style can discover each piece of art intimately through an interactive storytelling approach that uses QR codes and YouTube videos.
The BENSLEY Outsider Gallery is the first and only Bill Bensley gallery in Vietnam, and the featured artworks will be available for purchase with prices starting at USD250 (approximately RM1,060). Once open, visitors can walk in without an appointment from 9am to 6pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
