Kuala Lumpur has many striking buildings, but how often do we get to step inside them, guided by the architects who designed them?

Returning for its fifth edition, SinggahKL 2026 gives the public a rare chance to explore up to 20 architect-designed buildings across Kuala Lumpur (KL), most of which are usually closed to visitors. Taking place on 7 and 8 February 2026, this free guided architectural tour invites participants to see the city through a thoughtful design lens.

Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) alongside the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF) 2026, SinggahKL goes beyond simple sightseeing. Each tour is led by architects and building representatives, providing firsthand insights into design stories, sustainability strategies, and the technical aspects behind each space.

This year’s programme includes a mix of landmarks and contemporary developments that show KL’s changing urban identity. The confirmed participating sites, which span civic spaces, cultural hubs, adaptive reuse projects, and modern commercial architecture, are as follows:

  • +n by UR-MU
  • Arena Sukan Kuala Lumpur
  • Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB)
  • Dua Manjalara
  • Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC)
  • MediaCity Angkasapuri
  • Saloma Link
  • SAMA Square
  • TAR UMT Arena
  • The Courts @ KLGCC
  • The Graph Hotel
  • The MET Corporate Tower
  • Tuah 1895 @ BBCC
  • UR-MU The Toffee
  • Wei-Ling Gallery

Since its start in 2019, SinggahKL has steadily increased in both size and public interest. What began with just seven buildings has turned into a citywide programme, with visitor numbers more than doubling over the past two years. This growth reflects a growing curiosity among Malaysians to understand better the built environment in which they live and to engage with architecture as part of their everyday city life.

Participation in SinggahKL 2026 is free, with registration details available on singgahkl.com and PAM’s official social media channels soon.

For anyone wanting to rediscover KL beyond cafes and shopping malls, this is a unique opportunity to experience the city—one building and one story at a time.

Organiser’s Note: Led by the building owner and architect, this self-paced walking tour allows participants to choose their own itinerary. Please note that attendees are responsible for their own transportation between sites; tours will begin promptly at the scheduled times.
