The reason that kebabs and shawarma are such favourites among locals is most likely due to their distinguished flavouring. Plus, they’re quick to prepare and affordable, making them the best grab-and-go food option at any given time. According to history, kebabs originated from Middle Eastern soldiers who used their swords to cook meat over open flames, and boy, are we thankful they did that!

Over the years, we’ve seen how Malaysians have increasingly gravitated toward Middle Eastern cuisine, and variations of grilled meat are now seen all across Kuala Lumpur (KL). But which spots truly whet the appetite and heart of KL-ites? Check out the selection of our kebab and shawarma places in the Klang Valley that are sure to satiate any craving.

1. Kebab Jalan TAR, Kuala Lumpur

A notable kebab spot on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, kebabs and shawarmas are served in handfuls. They’re then topped with a unique sauce and ready for you to eat. Having been in operation for almost 30 years, we understand why the crowds keep coming back for more.
