ArtScience Museum in Singapore is set to dazzle audiences with the Asian premiere of ‘Goddess: Brave. Bold. Beautiful.’ This captivating exhibition, which opened on 6 April, invites visitors to embark on a visual journey through 120 years of moving image history, showcasing glamorous screen legends who have graced the silver screen from classic Hollywood to modern-day Asia. It will highlight the compelling, significant, and lesser-known tales of women in film through eight zones.

Visitors are invited to rediscover the complex characters, collective strength, and boundless creativity of pioneering and contemporary stars who have redefined our vision of what a Goddess is through behind-the-scenes photos, archival material, projections, and stunning original costumes worn by the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Zendaya, Michelle Yeoh, and Zhang Ziyi.

In addition to the exhibition, the ArtScience Museum has curated a series of special events and screenings that complement the theme of ‘Goddess: Brave. Bold. Beautiful.’

The lineup for April and May promises an eclectic mix of films that showcase the talent, beauty, and resilience of iconic actresses from around the world. Kicking off the program is Millennium Mambo, featuring Taiwanese box-office sensation Shu Qi, Hollywood rebel Anna May Wong (Piccadilly), and industry-defining icon Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

From 2:30 to 5:30pm, ArtScience Museum invites you to step into the heart-pounding world of stunt performance with the exclusive Stunt Masterclass. Led by professionals from the renowned Ronin Action Group, this three-hour session offers a rare opportunity to learn trade tricks from the experts themselves and is priced at S$68 per person or S$120 for a pair.

At the end of the session, participants will test their newly acquired skills as they take part in a choreographed stunt sequence. What’s more, the purchase of a masterclass ticket includes entry to the ‘Goddess: Brave. Bold. Beautiful.’ exhibition.

Step behind the scenes and into the spotlight with a Public Guided Tour of the Goddess exhibition at ArtScience Museum. For just S$5 per person, join the Education Specialist on a journey through the captivating world of cinema and feminine empowerment as we explore how iconic costumes and artefacts have shaped and challenged the history of women in film.
