Since its opening, visitors to the mall have seen exclusive first-in-Malaysia brick-and-mortar outlets for quite a handful of brands, as well as some familiar faces that have been given an uplift. Here, we cover some of these labels and a few more to look forward to!

1. Gentle Monster, Lot G.12A
If you’re a regular citizen of the internet, you’ve probably seen multiple videos and images of this Korean eyewear store on your feed. We’re pretty sure Gentle Monster’s first flagship store in Malaysia has caught your eye with its moving bio-mechanical art installations, along with its bold futuristic eyewear.
2. Läderach, Lot G.29.A
This Swiss luxury chocolate brand has been garnering attention on social media for its delectable handmade FrishSchoggi (fresh chocolate) slabs. Their history dates back to the first Läderach factory in Glarus, Switzerland, in 1962. Only using fresh, premium ingredients, their luxury slabs are precious treats – either for yourself or your loved ones.
3. Marimekko, Lot G.31
Finnish design house Marimekko is on a roll, with its first Malaysian store in KLCC opening back in October and following through with its second store at The Exchange TRX in November. The label adds bold prints and colours to your wardrobe, bringing extra joy into your life. What’s not to love?
4. Venchi, Lot G.32
With 145 years of history, Venchi’s Italian Gelato and chocolates have journeyed far, now with its second location in Kuala Lumpur at TRX (the first in Pavilion Bukit Bintang). Venchi’s Gelato is crafted with premium, natural ingredients, free from artificial additives and palm oil. While it may come with a premium price tag, indulging in Venchi’s is an experience you can’t miss.
5. Café Kitsuné, Lot G.77
Founded in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, Kitsuné blends fashion (Maison Kitsuné), music (Kitsuné Musique), and cafe culture (Café Kitsuné), encapsulating the French art of living (Art de Vivre). Experience your Paris-meets-Tokyo adventure right here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, where you can savour lattes, pastries, sandwiches, and Kitsune’s signature fox shortbread at Café Kitsuné.

6. Drunk Elephant, Lot 1.13
Drunk Elephant has chosen Malaysia as the location for its first-ever brick-and-mortar store globally–what an honour! Their TRX store is decked out in the brand’s signature cute and bright colours, imploring you to discover the world of Drunk Elephant skincare.
7. lululemon, Lot 1.81 – 1.82
lululemon’s largest store in Malaysia has landed at The Exchange TRX. Its 5,000-square-foot outlet welcomes guests with a warm and tropical ambience, thanks to the clever use of locally sourced rattan. Experience lululemon’s signature Align™ pants and hijabs designed for women, crafted from lightweight Nulu™ fabric.
8. Alo Yoga, Lot 1.97
Set to make waves in the local athleisure scene is Los Angeles-based Alo Yoga. With Hollywood celebrities donning the brand’s yoga and athleisure garments, it’s no wonder Malaysians are itching to see and try on what they have in store (literally this time).
9. Seibu, Level 1 to 4, Lot AT
This luxury department store from Japan debuts in Malaysia with a bang, occupying over 250,000 square feet at The Exchange TRX and carrying over 700 luxury brands. You’ll find brands like Fred, Montblanc, Damiani, JW Anderson, AAPE by *A Bathing Ape, Hermes, and more. 10. Paolo Paolo Gelato, Lot 2.OS.1
Eat your feelings away with Malaysian artisanal gelato brand Paolo Paolo Gelato! Their handcrafted Italian-style gelatos are made fresh daily and will help you make core memories with loved ones as you stroll through the brand-new Exchange TRX Mall.
11. Nike, Lot 2.77 – 2.79
This renowned brand needs no introduction, but what sets the TRX store apart from the rest? For starters, it is the largest store in Kuala Lumpur, boasting a community-driven approach. Beyond being a shopping haven for athleisure and footwear – it’s also a hub where sports enthusiasts connect and empower each other. (Psst, check out their extensive children’s collection!)
12. ChaTraMue, Lot L2.OS.03
Although not its first Malaysian venture, ChaTraMue boasts a 75-year history in teamaking. It has now set foot in TRX. Indulge in their signature Thai tea as you stroll through the mall—it’s a real thirst-quencher.
13. Shake Shack
On 10 April 2024, many Malaysians were seen eagerly queueing in line for the opening day of Shake Shack’s first store in the country. The well-known burger chain from the United States had burger fiends awaiting its arrival and dreaming of sinking their teeth into a ShackBurger®, Crinkle-Cut Fries, and Shakes. Well, their dreams can now be reality.
14. Apple Store, opening on 22nd June at 10am
Rumours about the first Apple Store in Malaysia have been circling the interwebs for years, even more so when Exchange TRX first opened last year. The site has been sitting mysteriously atop the mall at TRX City Park while everyone waited with bated breath for an official announcement from Apple.
Apple (finally) officially announced the inaugural Malaysian store’s opening date for the 22nd of June 2024 at 10am, and the excitement is palpable across the Malaysian internet.
