Customers are increasingly drawn to cashless transactions, self-service ordering, and contactless payment alternatives due to their convenience and security.
Inspired by the new technology, more eateries are now going cashless. IPPUDO Malaysia, a world-famous Japanese ramen restaurant, recently embraced the increasing cash-free movement, the first in the world for the global chain by introducing a cashless and self-service branch named IPPUDO Express which will be located at Damansara Utama.
New dining experience
IPPUDO Express exceeds the standard offering of the global chain restaurant in every way as customers will be able to place and pick up their own orders from kiosk stations, improving both efficiency and food quality.
Customers will also be able to place orders directly from the IPPUDO mobile app or through QR code with an e-wallet system to simplify the process for customers to order and pay from their seated tables in the restaurant without having to interact with other diners. By combining dining experiences with the digital age, the brand will be able to expand beyond kiosk stations.
The best part is the absence of a service charge at this location also means that prices will be lower than at regular IPPUDO stores.
Mouth-watering cuisine
If you’re a fan of IPPUDO’s plethora of ramen options, you’ll want to try the SHIRO – BOMB Ramen. It combines the brand’s signature Tonkotsu base which has a substantial, meaty flavour with a miso paste, which gives the soup a toasted, salty, sweet depth.
The new meal features a variety of miso paste selections, including black sesame, Japanese curry, and karaka with chilli oil to further build its rich umami flavour.
IPPUDO will also be releasing a Pac-Man game in honour of the brand’s Japanese heritage to coincide with the grand opening. For a limited time only, IPPUDO EXPRESS in Malaysia is offering a chance to compete and win gifts redeemable at the store.
