Serving the weekday coffee addicts some of the best cuppas in town, this petite counter operation has two quaint window seats for a quick grab-and-go. Their cappuccinos and Volcano matcha lattes are particularly memorable; we wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up ordering both.

Smack dab in the middle of commuter chaos, Optimist Coffee is a little burst of cheer that lives up to its name. Their walk-up kiosks dish out no-nonsense and high-quality brews, fast and with a smile. Their espresso shots are rich and bold, while their lattes are a creamy dream. The vibes are great, and they go the extra mile with handwritten pick-me-ups on their takeaway lids. What’s not to love?

Room 203’s lowkey kerbside kiosk outside Glo Damansara Mall proves you don’t need a big space to serve bold coffee. With its industrial, no-nonsense setup, Room 203 is all about strong, unapologetic brews. With a simple choice of black or white—their coffees are smooth, intense, and made for those who like them without the small talk. RM5 a cup, cash only.

5. ASOF Coffee/The Meat Store
ASOF Coffee a.k.a. The Meat Store is the kind of spot you stumble upon, and then gatekeep like your life depended on it. Tucked in a quiet corner of the iconic Pasar Besar TTDI, ASOF Coffee is a whole vibe. The zen-like focus of the baristas makes watching them work feel like a meditation session, with each movement intentional. The cafe doubles as a vinyl store and there’s an actual car bumper hanging above the store front. Calling this coffee store cool doesn’t even cut it.

6. Medium
Despite the name, there’s nothing mid about this shoebox of a coffee shop. Every inch is thoughtful, even down to their vision—a quality-focused cafe that uses coffee as a medium for conversations. Although it’s a drive-thru coffee spot, the baristas are warm and eager to chat while they prepare your drink with scientific precision, encouraging you to slow down, even if just for a moment. Everything on the menu is a 10/10, but ask for their off-menu specials. You won’t regret it.
