Hong Kong is rapidly transforming into a top destination for Muslim travellers, offering enhanced services, facilities, and experiences that cater to their needs. Food is a crucial part of any travel experience, and Hong Kong has significantly expanded its selection of Halal-certified and Muslim-friendly dining options. The Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong (Board of Trustees) has accredited 153 Halal-certified and Muslim-owned eateries as of 2025, up from around 100 when HKTB first launched its Muslim-friendly initiative in June 2024.

Popular Halal-certified restaurants and bakeries include Chinesology, Hong Kong’s first Muslim-friendly fine-dining Chinese restaurant, Dorsett Tsuen Wan – Dorsett Café which has removed pork from its menu and achieved full Halal certification, Islamic Centre Canteen, famous for its dim sum, Kee Wah Bakery, known for its Halal-certified cookies and Fine Foods Shop which offers ‘best in town’ Original Butterfly Cookies, halal-friendly and freshly homemade every day.

Ngong Ping 360 – Beyond a scenic ride, Ngong Ping 360 offers glass-bottomed “Crystal Cabins” for a thrilling experience, with stunning views of the airport, lush greenery, and Tian Tan Buddha. At the top, Ngong Ping Village features cultural performances, traditional Chinese architecture, diverse dining options, and unique souvenirs, including jewellery and crafts.

sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck – Situated on the 100th floor of Hong Kong’s tallest building, sky100 offers panoramic views of the city and Victoria Harbour. Interactive exhibits enhance the experience, providing deeper insight into Hong Kong’s skyline and culture.

Temple Street Night Market – A lively hotspot for authentic Hong Kong snacks and street food, Temple Street has been revitalised with eye-catching decorations perfect for photos. Roadside stalls offer an array of local delights and speciality products, including Muslim-friendly snacks like pepper cakes, spicy skewers, Turkish lamb, and Pakistani delicacies, making it a must-visit destination for food lovers.
