Our workshops are designed to help you learn new skills or build on existing ones, while unlocking your inner confidence.

Workshops run during two time slots on both days of ZafigoX 2025:

Here are the workshops happening on the second day of ZafigoX 2025, Sunday, 12 October.

12 October, Sunday – Time slot 1
2:30pm – 4:00pm

Discover how colour analysis can help you identify shades that flatter and expand your personal palette. You’ll learn how colour choices influence mood, style, and confidence.

Then, explore capsule-wardrobe building with staple pieces that balance function and individuality. Paired with Whimsigirl’s timeless approach to fashion, this workshop shows how to create a wardrobe that’s versatile, empowering, and true to you.

What to bring for this workshop:

  • Participants are recommended to wear white or their favourite neutral colours.
  • Favourite clothing pieces you want to learn to build around (not mandatory).

This workshop invites participants to create personal, one-of-a-kind cyanotype prints that celebrate their inner strength, aspirations, and connections with the natural world. Using botanical elements, symbolic images, and empowering words or phrases, each participant will compose a visual story that reflects their unique journey as women ready to accelerate change.

The cyanotype process—powered by sunlight and developed with water—becomes a metaphor for transformation: a blend of patience, experimentation, and trust in the unexpected. It’s an opportunity to slow down, be mindful, and create space for creativity amidst the fast-paced life.

What to bring for this workshop:

  • Small personal objects with interesting shapes or outlines (e.g. jewellery, keys, lace, keepsakes).
  • Pressed flowers or leaves from your home or travels.

Discover the joy of capturing your travels through simple sketches. In this beginner-friendly workshop, Lisa will guide participants on how to observe, simplify, and translate their surroundings into quick, expressive drawings. Perfect for those who want to record memories on the go without worrying about perfection. No prior experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to see the world with fresh eyes!

You’ll also pick up tips on developing your own sketching style and using drawing as a mindful practice.

What to bring for this workshop:

  • Sketchbook
  • Favourite/preferred stationery

12 October, Sunday – Time slot 2
4:15pm – 5:45pm

Join The Wayang Women for an immersive workshop that begins with a circle of women sharing stories: personal rebellions that open paths to freedom, courage, and renewal. Guided by puppeteer Illya Sumanto, you’ll craft your own puppet, learn manipulation techniques, and explore the art of narrating stories behind the screen.

Throughout the session, Wayang Women’s musicians will accompany your journey, playing instruments as you bring your characters to life. No prior experience needed. Just your story, your hands, and your imagination.

What to bring for this workshop:

  • Not required to bring anything

This empowering and practical workshop is designed exclusively for women, focusing on essential self-defence skills to build confidence, awareness, and safety in everyday life. Participants will learn how to assess potential threats, use verbal and physical techniques to de-escalate situations, and apply simple yet effective moves to defend themselves against common types of attacks.

The session also covers mindset training, situational awareness, and practical drills, ensuring women leave with tools they can use immediately to protect themselves and others. Led by SheFights Gym founder Faeznur “Benny” Farok, the workshop offers a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for all fitness levels.

Please note: While this is a women-focused workshop, there will also be a male instructor present to assist with demonstrations.
