ZafigoX 2019: Highlights

The weekend of 21-22 September 2019 saw Zafigo teaming up with AirAsia to bring you ZafigoX 2019 at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, and oh, what a weekend it was! The two days were dedicated to discovering inspiring women and new travel experiences, learning to travel — better, easier, safer, and more — as well as meeting women with shared passions, and finding ways to feed our need to travel.

Amazing women regaled us with their tales of strength, growth, and adventure. There were discussions ranging from keeping safe on the road to women working in male-dominated industries, as well as workshops that taught us how to write, journal, photograph, and defend ourselves while we travel.

In between intimate conversations with Hannah Yeoh and Deborah Henry, as well as talks, panels, workshops, and live performances by Zee Avi, Alena Murang, and Sheena Baharudin, guests were treated to delicious food and beverages courtesy of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, as well as Santan by AirAsia. There were styling sessions hosted by online fashion store, Doublewoot, and e-wallet service BigPay was also there to introduce everyone to the world of cashless transactions. Zafigo also collaborated with The Row KL to set up the first ever #SheTravels Women Travellers’ Marketplace at The Slate at The Row. This marketplace featured unique services, products, and accessories for women who travel.

The weekend was a rush — an exhilarating one at that — and none of it would’ve been possible without all our partners, and of course you, the attendees who showed up to experience everything we had to offer. #teamZafigo thanks you all for making ZafigoX 2019 the best one to date!

*Attendees were treated to some of AirAsia’s Santan in-flight meals, including the all-time fave Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak.*
