Since the pandemic began, Malaysians have seen a rise in the interest of outdoor sports. Which is understandable, because small closed spaces where social distancing is impossible can be a COVID-19 breeding ground.

After being cooped up indoors multiple times for what felt like years, we started seeing people hiking more, running, picking up tennis as a sport, and cycling. With the cycling community growing larger, the need for places where cyclists can get their bikes serviced and grab something to eat while waiting is also rising.

Here are some of the best places to check out if you’re into this sport.

1. The Basikal, Bangsar

Located on Jalan Bangsar, The Basikal is a humble but equally-renowned cycling shop and one of the best local bike specialists. Avid cyclists can come here to get their bicycles serviced, repaired, and shop for parts for your two-wheeled love. They also conduct weekly cycling classes, and there’s also a little cafe where cyclists (and non-cyclists) can grab a quick bite and a cuppa!
