This May, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur invites guests to a special Mother’s Day writing workshop, offering a gentle opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate meaningful relationships through words.
Held on Saturday, 9 May 2026 (2pm–5.30pm), the session marks the latest gathering of The Majestic Writers’ Guild. Taking place in the elegant Writers’ Room—a space long associated with reflection—the workshop is led by Intan Maizura Ahmad Kamal and focuses on expressive writing as a way to explore relationships with mother-figures, caretakers, and mentors.
A space for reflection and connection
Through simple prompts, participants are guided to reflect on memories, gratitude, and the layered nature of love. There’s no pressure to write perfectly — the goal is simply honesty.
Each session includes bespoke writing materials and The Majestic’s signature afternoon tea, creating a calm, unhurried environment where ideas can unfold naturally. At RM200++ per person, the experience offers more than a creative exercise. It’s a meaningful pause and a different way to celebrate Mother’s Day.
It also reflects a growing interest in creative workshops and creative escapes that prioritise reflection and personal expression.
