If Japan has been sitting on your travel wish list, the Japan National Tourism Organisation Kuala Lumpur Office (JNTO) just made the timing a little sweeter. Its digital campaign, A Japan For You, is back for 2025–2026, and it comes with a series of fun online challenges, rail-inspired travel stories, and a long list of prizes. The campaign runs until January 2026, so it’s not too late to jump in.
How it works
The campaign highlights Japan’s scenic train routes and the small towns and stations along them. Each feature article includes three Hidden Gems. To join, read the article, find the clues, and submit your answers through the contest form. You’ll get a Bonus Keyword that helps in the final Grand Prize Puzzle Challenge.
There are four rounds. The first (Kyushu) has ended, but the rest are still happening:
- Chugoku Read and Win: 3–14 December 2025
- Shikoku Read and Win: 17–28 December 2025
- Grand Prize Puzzle Challenge: 7–25 January 2026

Winners for each Read and Win round will be announced on JNTO Malaysia’s social media pages within a week after the contest period. The final puzzle challenge winners will be revealed via a live draw within two weeks after the full campaign ends.
Even though the first round is over, the campaign is far from finished. With two more reading rounds and the big puzzle challenge waiting in January, you still have plenty of chances to collect keywords and boost your odds.
