Come and relive your childhood at The Doraemon Exhibition’s first debut outside of Japan at the National Museum of Singapore happening from now to 5 February 2023. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Malaysia, those of you headed south to the Lion City anytime soon can experience one of Japan’s most beloved cartoon characters, Doraemon, in Singapore for a weekend-trip with the family.
With the reopening of the world following the coronavirus pandemic, the National Museum of Singapore is excited to be welcoming back visitors of all ages from around the world to showcase Doraemon. This exhibition wishes to evoke fond personal memories of the childhood character, while making memories with friends and family.
The exhibition features several globally renowned artists, such as Takashi Murakami, Mika Ninagawa, and Yoshitomo Nara, who have created their own interpretations on the iconic character through paintings, sculptures, graphics, photography, and much more! Also witness the original drawings by Doraemon’s creator, Fujiko F Fujio to share in the magic of character’s creation in the first-ever public showcase.
Amongst exploring the exhibition, you can also stop for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink at Doraemon Café. You can choose from pizzas, burgers, or even try Doraemon’s favourite snack — Dorayaki! And for those of you who follow a plant-based diet, rest assured that there is an option for you — a Plant Based Chicken Burger!
But the memories don’t have to stop at the exhibition — you can take Doraemon home with you too! Expect an exclusive line-up of Doraemon merchandise to purchase from Fujiko F Fujio Museum goods to exclusive Doraemon collectibles.
