As parents, we get the trials and tribulations of keeping children occupied. While it’s easy to plop a tablet in front of them, it’s not necessarily the best choice. With school holidays (looming) upon us, some of you parents out there might be scratching your head on what to do with the little ones. Well, we’ve got you sorted!

Keep your kids entertained and your sanity in check as they enjoy one of these activities.

Enrol your kids in a coding class to become fluent in digital literacy. While plenty of coding classes are available within the Klang Valley, we recommend giving Algorithmics Coding School a go!

KidZania, Mutiara Damansara

When it comes to kids, the learning never stops! We can promise you that this is among the most fun things you can do with your kids — and there’s something for every kiddo aged one to 14! KidZania is essentially a pint-sized replica city spread over a sprawling 80,000 square feet of space.

In this fun-sized town, your kids will be able to participate in over 70 role-playing activities (from vet to pilot to delivery kid to construction worker) that will either see them earning or spending ‘money’ while getting their ‘passports’ stamped. As fun as it is to learn about the various industries, the overall goal is to teach children financial literacy as the town currency ‘kidZo’ can either be spent or ‘saved’ at the KidZania Bank as a ‘long-term’ investment. Opt for the latter, and you’ll quickly be coming back.

Get your tickets for less here. Prices vary according to child’s age.
