Finding an Instagram-worthy picture-perfect location in Johor Bahru isn’t tough. The city after all, is basically built for Instagram. What more could you want for in a city with stunning views, spectacular architecture, lovely bike routes, and a plethora of photogenic locations?

But if you’re looking for something a little extra special, then we’ve got you covered as well. The ruins of a historic jetty can be seen in this Johor location, making it the perfect backdrop for a few snapshots.

It is the abandoned jetty located at Sungai Rengit, Johor, known as the Sungai Rengit Secrets Punch Attraction.

Fishing villages are the main feature of Sungai Rengit, a town in Kota Tinggi, Johor. And it’s a great place to visit for seafood lovers. But what makes it picturesque are the enormous steel pillar remains of what was once a working jetty in this secluded location.

Those who enjoy old artefacts may want to stop by for a while at this location, which is brimming with cultural significance. It resembles something out of a fairytale or an ethereal historical monument, so it’s easy to see the appeal.

Naturally, you won’t be able to help but whip your phone out of your pocket when you see the beautiful waves gently lapping against this antique structure.

The best time to visit is when the tide is low, so that you may walk between the pillars and get a new perspective. While there isn’t a lot of room for picnics or any other activities, you may still relax nearby and catch the sunrise, or just snap some shots of the beautiful environment around you.

Keep in mind that to reach the beach, you’ll have to go down an unpaved mud path that isn’t very safe. There will be no signs indicating its location, however, it’s close to the Sungai Rengit Fire & Rescue Station.

If you plan on going to the beach, make sure to wear good footwear and know that mosquitoes might pose a problem at night.

The Sungai Rengit Secrets Punch Attraction can be found through Google Maps using this address: 90, 81600 Bandar Penawar, Johor.
