There’s a moment that comes after the pause: when the fog clears, energy returns, and something inside you says, “Let’s go.” That moment is the spirit behind ZafigoX 2025.

Happening 11 & 12 October at Menara KEN TTDI, Kuala Lumpur, this year’s theme is Acceleration. It’s not just about going faster, but moving forward with intention—after burnout, reflection, or simply finding your voice—and using that momentum to spark action, creativity, and change.

Because sometimes, the best way to honour growth… is to take the next step.

Last year, we focused on Rejuvenation—on rest, reflection, and return. It was what many of us needed, after years of global uncertainty and personal recalibration.

But as Marina Mahathir, founder of Zafigo, puts it: “We’ve reflected, we’ve reset—now it’s time to move.” That doesn’t mean burning out or pushing past your limits. It means knowing what matters to you and doing it with heart. At your own pace. On your own terms. But with momentum.

Firstly, we’re reviving the format that made ZafigoX special from the start. Expect two full days of live talks, engaging panels, moving performances, and hands-on workshops. Your ticket (whether for one or both days) gives you access to everything, including workshops—no add-ons needed.

This year, we’re also giving each day a theme to give you something distinct and immersive:

  • Day 1: Breaking Boundaries invites women to challenge the limits of what’s expected, whether in business, sports, or self-expression.
  • Day 2: Reclaiming Space is about return, taking back our narratives, reconnecting with culture, and reshaping the world around us.

Throughout both days, workshops are designed to reflect these themes, providing space to learn, make, move, and explore new ways of engaging with the world and ourselves.

And as always, the spirit of travel runs through it all. Not just as a literal journey, but as a metaphor for curiously, bravely, and openly moving through life.

While we don’t believe in headliners, we do believe in voices that matter. This year’s lineup brings together women who’ve carved out their paths across different landscapes, be it physical, creative, or political.

Among them: Elaha Soroor, Afghan-born singer and activist; Sadaf Saaz, Bangladeshi poet and women’s rights advocate; filmmaker Amanda Nell Eu (Tiger Stripes, 2023); and social justice changemakers Zainah Anwar and Jac SM Kee. We’ll also be joined by beloved homegrown creatives and storytellers like Florentyna Leow, Melizarani T. Selva, and Yee I-Lann.

Our panels promise real talk and new perspectives. From women who’ve built brands from scratch, to those excelling in male-dominated sports, to explorers taking on the world on their own terms. This year also gives space to artists and writers—those quietly (and not-so-quietly) shifting culture through poetry, illustration, and language.

As for performances, expect both celebration and introspection—from contemporary shadow play by the all-female Wayang Women troupe, to soulful music by Munirih Jebeni, and the raw lyricism of VIONA.
