A new year is upon us, and it’s not yet too late to start planning for the year ahead. After all, as the adage goes, ‘better late than never’. I love planning and seeing my weeks in advance. It helps me plan my energy around activities so I don’t get exhausted from double-booking or over-booking myself!
What’s not to love about having a planner when it helps bring structure into my life? With the array of designs and layouts in the market now, you’ll be spoilt for choice. You’ll eventually find a planner that best suits your lifestyle through trial and error, so here are some worth giving a shot.
1. Plannerd
Simple, minimal, and functional! Plannerd just launched their water-resistant covers this year, which will protect your planner from those dreaded coffee stains. We love their cute plain pastel colours and minimal interior layouts — it’s an invitation for lots of cute stickers!
2. Perky Preen
One word: Cute! The fun part about Perky Preen is that they have a ‘Wellness + Le’ Fun’ section, which includes whimsical stickers, a vision board, quarterly goals, and a gratitude spread, among many other fun things. We’re a sucker for wellness prompts, as it serves as the perfect reminder to take care of ourselves. Think of it as an adult sticker and activity book!
Update: As of October 2022, Perky Preen is taking an indefinite creative break. But do follow them for when they come back stronger and better!
3. Mossery
The best part about Mossery is the unique cover designs they come up with through collaborations with artists. These colourful and fun covers are also reusable — you can buy the planner refills and use the same cover for next year! I love their cover designs as well as their thoughtfully crafted planner layouts.
4. Kertas & Co.
Kertas & Co.’s planners are simple and organised. You get a tab for every separate month, making it easier for you to navigate between months. Every monthly tab has inspiring quotes and affirmations to help guide you through the year. They have bonus interactive pages every month end as well!
5. Summorie
Their products exude all forms of elegance and calm — the perfect companion for those easily overwhelmed. All beautifully crafted and finished in linen covering, with a front pocket for quick access to mementoes or notes. Make it truly yours by choosing your favourite colours for the cover and the elastic band. Plus, their planners come with two bookmark ribbons.
6. Planner Hut
Are you searching for the perfect Islamic planner for 2022? Planner Hut has got you covered. Their featured Islamic spreads include checklists for Ibadah, Al-Quran, Dua, Qadha, planner spread for your Ramadan menu and a fasting calendar.
7. ana tomy
ana tomy’s trio planners are highly customisable — you can choose three different types of book inserts, depending on how you’d like to use your planner. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the design and colours of your cover.
8. Payung Positive
Fun and simple, these planners also help keep your faith in check. There is a habit tracker-style corner in your weekly spreads that remind you to pray and read the Quran, among others. A feature page also prompts you to look into the nine different areas in your life, and so you can set life goals for each area.
9. Typo
Typo has some gorgeous designs for their planners, especially the wellness-centric ones. Their planners inspire you to be more mindful, fostering self-awareness. I love them A LOT, but I’m a little biased as I’ve used Typo’s planners for a few years and have a soft spot for them.
10. Stickerrific
If you’re the kind to shop in-store for your planners, Stickerrific might just be the place for you. It’s such a nice environment to shop in, and my encounters with their staff have all been friendly. You’ll find all kinds of stationery here, plus planner brands like Leuchtturm1917, Kokuyo, TRAVELER’S Notebook, Hobonichi, MIDORI, and Hightide.
Journalling and planner nerds would know what I’m talking about!
P.S. Yes, you can also shop online from their website.

11. @bungadanbintang
This Malaysian illustrator and cat mum can’t stop, and won’t be stopped! Her Bunga dan Mimpi undated planners are so lovely that I’m honestly tempted to buy one myself right now. The planner comes with stickers, fun activity pages, and colours that would make your mundane days so much brighter.
12. Digital planners
If you’re like me and have transitioned to using digital planners, here are some options for you. Mossery and Kertas & Co. from our list above both have digital planners on their websites. There are also some affordable ones on Shopee or Lazada, but you’ve got to do a little bit of searching.
Some non-Malaysian planners I’ve found and personally used include HappyDownloads and Cozyleigh.
We hope this list has inspired you to begin your search for your 2024 planner–happy planning!
