Sala

Desa Sri Hartamas and Chow Kit

The owner of Sala started this restaurant to enjoy Tex-Mex-inspired food in a healthy and environmentally responsible way. Famous amongst the vegan community, Sala now has two branches — one in Desa Sri Hartamas, while the other sits on The Row in Chow Kit.

Bandar Sunway

Thyme Out may have come a long way since its humble food truck days, but the food is as good as ever. Currently, they have three outlets: a full-fledged restaurant in Bandar Sunway, a kiosk in Bandar Utama, and a takeaway point in Mont Kiara. Be sure to give their lamb tacos a try!

Tropicana Gardens

Okay, so we’re totally aware that this is a fast-food joint. But when the popular Tex-Mex food chain Taco Bell arrived on our shores, Malaysians rejoiced. No newbie in the local Tex-Mex scene, The Guac Truck is not your average restaurant. In fact, it’s not even an eatery! This food truck serves up some of the best Tex-Mex staples you can think of and has been since 2014.
