It’s no secret that physical and psychological wellbeing are intertwined benefits of participating in outdoor activities. As such, a growing number of travellers, both domestic and foreign, are embracing adventure tourism as a way to improve their health and wellbeing.

Glamping, hiking, water sports, cycling, and rock climbing are becoming increasingly popular as more people look to nature for their vacation plans.

The good news is, if you want to embrace the outdoors, consider adding the Perlis Rock Climbing Base Camp at Gua Kelam to your list.

The Perlis Rock Climbing Base Camp, built by MyUS Venture Partners Sdn Bhd, was inspired by Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail’s goal to put Perlis on the world map for rock-climbing.

MyUS Venture Partners Sdn Bhd Group CEO, Dato’ Nellsen Young shared that in constructing the rock climbing activities and adventure packages, they worked closely with Perlis Climbers who are experienced with Perlis climbing routes.

With the help of the Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Perlis, the place will also highlight Perlis’s magnificent landscape and the environment through a variety of unique tours and experiences. Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities such as cave exploration, tree climbing, nature appreciation tours, jungle trekking, animal adventure tours, eco-discovery tours, canopy walks, and personalised adventure tours, other than rock climbing.

Additionally, the Perlis Rock Climbing Base Camp will offer an Eco-Adventure Boutique Accommodation for tourists and climbers, as well as a café in the woods for anyone looking for a quick snack or some beverages.

The Perlis Rock Climbing Base Camp at Gua Kelam has a total land area of 23,094 square feet and a built-up area of 9,880 square feet. It has 40 rooms with a maximum occupancy of four people per room and 10 premium camps with a maximum occupancy of four people. MyEco Discovery, based in Kangar Jaya, Perlis, will manage and operate the facility.

Besides its paddy fields and limestone outcrops, Perlis is a gorgeous area of land with rustic traditional wooden dwellings. It is often referred to as the “undiscovered” state since it has wonderful natural aspects that have yet to be developed. And some mighty good food too!

The Perlis Rock Climbing Base Camp At Gua Kelam is scheduled to open in December 2022 and officially launch in January 2023.
