Interested in seeing a different kind of market while in Bangkok? The Pak Khlong Talat Market is one of the most beautiful and best smelling markets in town.

It is Thailand’s largest retail and wholesale fresh flower market. Open 24/7, expect to be surrounded by an incredible selection of fresh orchids, roses, marigolds and more.

These might be some of the cheapest flowers you will ever buy. The prices of the flowers here are known to be “amazingly cheap”.

Also known as the Flower Market, Pak Khlong Talat is captured beautifully in this video by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

As you can see, it’s not just bouquets and stalks of flowers on sale. In true Thai fashion, the flowers are intricately strung up in garlands and baskets for accessories, Buddhist ceremonies, weddings and other events.

Pak Khlong Talat Market is located at Chak Phet Road near the Saphan Phut Chao Phraya pier. Existing directions can be confusing, but Leave Your Daily Hell says the best way to get there is to take the SkyTrain to Saphan Taskin station, then transfer to Taksin Pier and take the Chao Phraya Express boat to stop #7, Rajinee.

Alternatively, ask a taxi or tuk tuk driver to take you to Pak Khlong Talat, or show them this Thai text: ปากคลองตลาด.
