GWS announces a growth initiative by establishing a regional office, GWS Asia Sdn Bhd, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new regional office will represent the GWS Safeture services portfolio, and support new and existing customers in the region.
GWS has identified local presence as an important step in growing in the dynamic Asia Pacific region. The new regional office is established together with a strategic partner, 4P Consultancy Holdings, and is initially a 3-year partnership contract. The partner is initially the sole owner but GWS has an option to acquire 100% based on an earn-out model. The cooperation is built on revenue sharing for contracts accomplished by the partner. Andreas Rodman, CEO of GWS, explains why this region is a focus area:
”With our partnership with 4P Consultancy Holdings, we create a platform to grow sales in the rapidly developing APAC region. Our customers want local sales presence with support in their time zone and languages, and now we can serve them more efficiently. We are very excited to mark the establishment of a strong direct presence in the Asia Pacific region, in addition to our European and Brazilian offices. We are confident with our choice of Malaysia as the Asia Pacific regional headquarters due to its strategic location in the heart of South East Asia, and we have also evaluated it as a conducive and dynamic business environment and a solid platform for our regional activities.”
The regional office is operating as of today and is represented by Anneshia Balasingam, Business Controller at 4P Consultancy Holdings.
“It is exciting to be leading the launch of GWS regional representation in Kuala Lumpur. The region is a centre of excellence in ICT development and I see a strong potential for GWS offerings across many different segments of clients in both the corporate and individual sectors”, says Anneshia Balasingam.
The setup of GWS direct presence in the region is timely as Asia experiences a global travel boom. Continental shifts are being made in terms of travel, tourism and spending power as more Asian travellers are venturing abroad for both business and leisure.
