GOA, India – One of the world’s leading motorbike expedition operators, Extreme Bike Tours, will offer its first-ever women-only tour in January 2016, with the ‘life changing’ adventure taking in the beautiful landscapes of southern India.
Bookings made by October 15, 2015, will receive a free upgrade to the five-star Le Meridien Hotel on the final-night of the 1400km adventure in tropical Cochin.
Female motorbike riders and also non-experienced, female pillion passengers seeking the thrill of motorbiking in India can join the 12-day South India Adventure, using classic Royal Enfield Desert Storm motorbikes.
Starting from the hippy-frequented, palm-flanked beaches, markets and cocktail bars of Goa on January 24, 2016, the two-wheel adventure will allow women to enjoy the spices, tea plantations, tiger reserves and hill stations of southern India.
English adrenaline junkie Zander Combe, who runs Extreme Bike Tours in India, says the breathtaking landscapes and the gentle and welcoming people who live in southern India are “guaranteed to change the way you look at life.”
The guided South India Adventure will take riders and passengers along the quiet and meandering roads of southern India past the spectacular palaces and temples of Mysore and to the jungles of Mudumalai National Park where riders will stay in a safari lodge and search for tigers.
The 12-day women-only tour costs US$4,227 per rider or US$3,371 for pillion passengers, including hotel accommodation along the route, all meals on the tour, fuel and motorbike hire and a domestic flight at the end of the tour from Cochin back to Goa. The guided trips are open to licensed motorcyclists as well as pillion passengers riding on a bike or in the support vehicle.
